When you read the Bible, are you confused?
I get what you mean about feeling confused when reading the Bible. Trust me, I have been there too! I have been especially frustrated when trying to make sense of the King James Version - that old-fashioned language can throw you for a loop. If you have read the Bible, you may have experienced confusion and wondered what was going on. Understanding the Bible can be difficult without guidance.

However, understanding God's word brings a life-changing experience. In Nehemiah 8:8, the Bible says, "....making it clear and giving the meaning so that the people understood what was being read". When the people of God understood, they changed. According to Nehemiah 9:1-3, they separated themselves from foreigners and confessed their sins. When we take the time to understand God's word, we can have a life-changing experience with God.

Therefore, begin using every available means to listen to God's Word. There are plenty of resources out there, from study guides to online discussions, that can make the experience more enjoyable and rewarding. Seek resources like study guides or commentaries to help you understand your reading.
